Sew Wild Canada was created by Renee, who decided to pass down the sewing skills she had learned from her mother to her daughter. Renee started by teaching her how to make baby quilts, then expanded to dog bandanas and then eco-friendly utensil wraps for adults and kids. The pair began selling their items on Etsy. As the business grew, Renee’s daughter got a full time job and mom took over the business as owner, CEO, and seamstress of Sew Wild Canada.
Grace, the founder and maker behind La Luxe Lucerna, has been making candles since elementary school. She grew up and as many do, felt pressure to do "something" with her life. She forgot her passion for creating, and followed what seemed like the "right path". Luckily, she found her passion again and La Luxe Lucerna was born.
Looking for unique favours to provide at their wedding, Grace and Eddy made their own custom candles. The idea caught on, and soon took off. Wanting to provide a cleaner, healthier candle to burn at home, they created their own line.
The Knit and Stitch Sisters are four ladies who meet once a week to knit (and crochet) and ......yup, you guessed it, bitch! We fondly refer to ourselves as the 3 Knitting Bitches and 1 Happy Hooker. I like to think that makes us sound way more interesting than four women who sit around and make things out of string. Wouldn't you agree? Plus, it’s way snappier.
What do we bitch about, you ask? Everything— literally! The price of yarn, the state of the world, and how we had to sneak another 50 balls of yarn into the house because you never know when you might need it, right? A few of us have even resorted to having it delivered to the door( is that such a bad thing, really?)!

Inclusive artisan accessory brand Eighteenfortythree is the project of Toronto area student Jacky Ferreira. Created in August of 2018, Eighteenfortythree was born from Jacky’s desire to craft, but lack of direction and purpose. She decided it was time to create her own brand, something she could work hard on and develop. It was important to Jacky that her company would empower all kinds of people and give them a sense of pride. Eighteenfortythree was born. Creating vintage-inspired statement earrings for the bold at heart, Jacky hopes to instill confidence in everyone who wears her pieces.

I have been crafting with my mama all my life. It’s something that we do together, attending workshops and craft shows. We have dabbled in many mediums over the years, many of which I have been able to apply to my current work in clay. I’ve been making all my life, it’s just who I am.
I began working in clay following a major shift in my life. After my son was born, I caught a virus which caused my body to go haywire. I developed overactive nerves resulting in chronic pain and brain fog. Because of this my life changed completely, but it’s also what lead me to pottery. I took a two day workshop at the Art School of Peterborough with a mom friend of mine, and I was hooked!
I come from a long line of entrepreneurs and handmade artisans. I was very much immersed in that way of life since birth, so it is definitely close to my heart. I've always been the crafty type and I'm usually not able to sit still. Becoming a maker was inevitable, but until discovering Beeswax Food Wraps I really had no idea what I was going to be when I grew up...and I'm still growing up!
Starting Oh Beehive has been quite a ride. I specialize in making Canadian Beeswax Food Wraps and Bumble Bags as low waste alternatives to single use plastic. All of our handmade beeswax wraps are made in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. They can be used to cover plates, bowls, and casseroles, or wrap sandwiches and pack snacks for on the go! They’re hand-washable and can be reused for at least six months with proper care. It means a lot to be able to contribute positively to the planet by offering these alternatives, and I love that I can be my own boss. That said, it's a huge hustle most days just trying to fit everything in! From making product, to markets, to keeping the business buzzing on social media, there’s always something that needs doing.
Hello! My name is Megan and I am the creator behind Little Button Club.
I've always been artistic and loved making things. When I was younger I would make all of my gifts for Christmas, and to this day I still create most of my gifts. As a kid it was of course because I couldn't afford to buy gifts for my parents, but now I see it as a chance to show my family and friends how much they mean to me by spending time creating something for them by hand. My Dad sketches, my Mom knits, and my sister is a photographer— in other words, I come from a pretty talented & supportive family.
As a mother-daughter duo, both of us grew up creating with our hands. Brenda (mum of the operation) is a seasoned craft show vendor, while Amber (daughter) has been attending the events with mum for years.
It all started with the birth of Amber's daughter. We had such a great time putting the nursery together and made many great items to personalize the room. A spark was lit and became the flame for starting this new venture of whimsical, quirky and stylish home decor.
Tania and Angela specialize in creating one of kind teething and sensory accessories and clothing for babies and moms! We make non-toxic teething bracelets, necklaces and soothers, as well as printed onesies with our very own eco inspired designs.
The company name SKY+LO has so many personal meanings the company’s creators, but one meaning they love to share is the reminder that every day you wake up with the sky above you and the earth below you and you are a beautiful creation called life in the middle of both! You have the ability to shine and feel energetically vibrant just by closing your eyes and asking the sky to send its beautiful light down into the crown of your head, and asking Mother Earth to send energy up through the soles of your feet, imagining both beautiful gifts meeting in the centre of the heart, allowing you to feel, be, and see love!
From the sky above and the earth below you ignite the love within!
I'm Amandla - the founder of Bartholomew Sisters and subsequently the designer and marketer of the company. I got started two years ago when I was looking to eliminate harsh products for my daily regimen. Once I got started, I began to get requests from friends and family who were looking for the same. They encouraged me to make the leap into small business.
I developed Bitter Gold after I realized there was a gap in the market in nail serums. Bitter Gold contains three unique features: it strengthens nails, heals dry skin and tastes bitter— the bitter ingredient I use holds the Guinness World Record for the bitterest tasting ingredient. This clear, odorless nail serum also contains all the ingredients you want on your nails such as Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Silica and Biotin.
